William Eugene Glenn

William Eugene Glenn, 70, of Weatherford, died Friday morning, June 14, 2013, in a Fort Worth facility.

Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. 

He was born Feb. 3, 1943, in Weatherford, where he had lived all his life. Mr. Glenn, an Air Force veteran, was employed by Texas Department of Transportation for 33 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Purcell, of Owensboro, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Sherry Glenn, of Fort Worth; son, Byron Glenn, of Evansville, Ind.; brothers, Charles Glenn and Lawrence Glenn, both of Weatherford; sister-in-law, Dovie Glenn, of Brady; nieces, Kim Shelton and Becky Howard; nephew, Johnny Bouyer; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Glenn, parents, “Bud” and Lois Glenn, brother, Dennis Glenn, sister, Wanda Sue Glenn and first wife, Carolyn Glenn.
