POOLVILLE — Stacy Thigpen, 51, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, was called home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 6, 2013, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer with her family and friends by her side.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Poolville. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home, Springtown.
Stacy was born on Aug. 24, 1961, in Fort Worth. She was a graduate of Poolville High and was a correctional officer at CCA in Mineral Wells.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Thigpen.
Survivors: mother, Dona Thigpen Elledge; daughters, Heather Jewett and Athena Harkleroad and spouse, Jamie; son, John Hammond; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Scarlette, Devon and J.J.; brother, Richard Thigpen and spouse, Nita; sister, Shauna Nichols and spouse, Joe Paul Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend, Michelle Sattler and her daughter, Rachel.
