James W. Chamberlain

FORT WORTH – Retired U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. James W. Chamberlain, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013.

Service is 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in Greenwood Chapel. Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

James was born April 25, 1929, in Weatherford. Following and during his military service he was a dental technician. His hobbies included refurbishing phonographs and radios and building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes. He enjoyed shopping for antiques, playing the guitar and singing. 

Survivors include son, Walter O. Chamberlain and wife, Cheryl; nieces, Rhonda Chandler, Katie Hargrove and Dollie Garcia; grandchildren, Derek James Chamberlain and Mark Walter Chamberlain; great-grandchildren, Chandler and Delaney Chamberlain; and a host of relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Kimiko Chamberlain, in 1989.
