— POOLVILLE – Ishmael Worth (Ish) Queen Jr., 65, of Poolville, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Born Aug. 27, 1948, in Lamesa, Texas, he was a resident of Parker County for several years. He was an Army veteran, loving husband, father and pa and he loved woodworking, his dogs, outdoors and his grandkids.
Mr. Queen was preceded in death by his parents, Ishmael Sr. and Juanita Queen; and sisters, Nelda Thomas and Virginia Queen.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Gertrude Thompson Queen, of Poolville; daughter, Nita Smith Withers and husband, Richie, of Weatherford; sons, Ishmael Worth Queen III, of Fort Worth, Chris Thompson, of Poolville, and Jeff Thompson and wife, Janetta, of Poolville; and nine grandchildren, David, Amanda, James, Cayde, Caleb, Devin, MaKenzie, Brayden and Payton.
