Dorothy Joy Thomas

Dorothy Joy Thomas, 85, of Weatherford, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 22, 2013.

Service is 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, in the First Baptist Church with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.

She was born June 10, 1928, in Weatherford, where she lived most of her life. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Trudiann Rust and husband, Jeff, of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandson, Gregory Rust and wife, Claudia; three great-grandchildren, Allison, Anthony and Jose, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; granddaughter, Jennifer Rust, of Fayetteville, Ark.; sister, Frances Brown and husband, Charles, of Weatherford; two nieces, Phyllis Beckman and husband, Steven, and Gina Brown; and three great-nephews, Ben Hobson, Jacob Hall and Grayson Hall.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Thomas, in 2009; and her parents, Clem Johnston and Anna Johnston Caldwell.
