Patsy Ruth Hamilton

Patsy Ruth Hamilton, 70, a resident of Weatherford, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, from complications of pneumonia and lung and heart disorders.

Patsy was born in Mineral Wells on Sept. 3, 1942, to Vernon and Bennie Nelson. Pat worked in county government in Palo Pinto and Parker counties for many years and had recently retired as chief deputy of Parker County District Court.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Poss” Hamilton, of Weatherford; daughter, Patti Newsom and husband, Clay, of Mineral Wells; stepson, Kevin Hamilton, and stepdaughter, Kena Hamilton, both of Weatherford; son-in-law, Stephen Booth, of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Tanner and Terra Newsom, of Mineral Wells, Stephanie, Jaxson and Lexie Booth, of Mineral Wells, and Hayden Hamilton. of Weatherford.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Renea Goen-Booth, on Jan. 23, 2012; and mother, Bennie Ruth Nelson-Hill, in December 2001.

Service is 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at First Baptist Church. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel in Mineral Wells. Graveside service will be at Poe Prairie Cemetery in Millsap.
