Pauline Ellis

Pauline Ellis died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.

A memorial service is 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Martin Crest Assisted Living, 1818 Martin Drive, in Weatherford.

Pauline was born Vera Pauline Conrad, Feb. 13, 1922, in Mexia Texas. She moved with her family, Thomas Watson and Esther (Tracy) Conrad, and sister, Betty, to Bristow, Okla., as a small child and grew up there. She married and had three children.

Pauline began work for Carter Oil Company in Tulsa and continued working for 30 years through several mergers before finally retiring from Exxon Oil Corporation in 1978. Whether working or retired, she was always busy with needlework and handcrafts of all kinds. She enjoyed travel in many areas of the United States. Her favorite trips included a trip to Hawaii and another trip to Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific islands. She had a sweet, loving and giving spirit.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Michael and Sharon Ellis, of Nashville, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Joyce Ellis, of Weatherford; grandson, Jason Ellis, of Santa Fe, N.M.; granddaughter, April Knauss and husband, Pat, of Arbata, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Morgan Ellis and Patrick Knauss; daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Jack Kendrick, of Weatherford; granddaughter, Adriane Arnold and husband, Josh, of Fort Lewis, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, Sterling Kendrick and Ian, Hailey and Johnathan Arnold.

Her father, mother and sister preceded her in death.

We wish to thank the caregivers at Martin Crest for the care and love they showed our mother throughout the past several years.
