William Noral “Bill” Ogden

William Noral “Bill” Ogden, 72, died peacefully in his home in Weatherford on Oct. 3, 2013.

Graveside service was Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Okla., under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Steve Treagesser and Bob Lee. Visitation was Monday evening at the funeral home. A celebration of life service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Northside Baptist Church in Weatherford.

Bill was born Nov. 24, 1940, to Troy and Edith Ogden in Okemah, Okla. Bill loved the Lord, his family and playing his many, many, many, many guitars.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rita Odgen, of Weatherford; daughter, Lorrie Clifton and her husband, Kyle, of Weatherford; son, Mitchell Ogden and wife, Kathy, of Henryetta, Okla.; daughter, Jeannie Myers and husband, Ryan, of Weatherford; eight grandchildren, Hayden Clifton, Matthew Ogden and his wife Mary, Nathan Ogden and his fiancé, Sydney Bartlett, Hunter Clifton, Kaylee Parsons, Kole Parsons, Landrey Myers and Lake Myers; one great-grandchild, Lillie-Rae Ogden; and sister, Mary Lou Shepard and her husband, Gary, of Okemah, Okla.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Edith Ogden and one sister, Jo Etta Chisholm.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Vitas for their kind and compassionate care over the past week. Rita Wilson and Laura Barakat, you are so dear to us.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
