Modena Inez Ballard

POOLVILLE — Modena Inez Ballard, 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gibtown Cemetery.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Modena Inez Anderson was born March 5, 1935, to M.H. and Cleo Phillips Anderson. She graduated from Poolville High School. Modena met and married Virgle Ballard on Dec. 22, 1951, in Poolville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Janie Lee Sneed and Mozelle Anderson.

Survivors: loving husband of 61 years, Virgle Ballard, of Poolville; daughter, Carlene Ivester and husband, Dan, of Springtown; granddaughter, Tiffany Harrison, and Rod Sharp, of Runaway Bay; grandson, Matthew Harrison, and Briar, of Denton; great-grandchildren, Sydney Sharp and Jason Sanford; brothers, Johnny Anderson, of Weatherford, and Daniel Anderson, of Mineral Wells; sisters, Yvonne Shepard and Mildred Katrycz, both of Weatherford; several nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family members and friends.
