Norman Johnson

Norman Johnson, of Weatherford, and formerly of HSV, died Aug. 23, 2013, at home with his family holding his hand.

A memorial service with full military honors is 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Home in Weatherford. It is your turn to sleep in peace.

He worked at Desoto Golf Course for five years before leaving to travel full time. Norm dedicated 20 years in the U.S. Army serving as a Green Beret with two tours in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Johnson, of Weatherford; children, Debra Johnson, Terry Edwards, Michael Johnson, Jason Bryant, Lindsay Bryant and Taci Philbrook; sisters, Karen Sheppard and Janice Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.
