Betty Staggs, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel with James Plowman officiating. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home. Betty was given her angel wings and greeted at the gates of Heaven by Jesus, family and friends.
Betty was born March 6, 1943, to Felix O’Neal and Louvenia Hudnall in Marianna, Ark. She was a longtime resident of Weatherford. Betty spent many years as a personal assistant to Kathy Kinser, who became more of a daughter than an employer. Betty loved her family and friends with all of her heart and truly earned her eternal healing. She loved to country and western dance and is now two-stepping and waltzing across the dance floors of Heaven.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Lisa Guest and Vicki Lewis, of Weatherford, and Shannon Rusnak and husband, George, of Fort Worth; son, Tony Staggs and wife, Kara, of Haslet; grandchildren, Elliott Guest, Mariah Staggs, Sara Wells, Seth Rusnak and Hailey Rusnak; great-grandchildren, Eric, Wayne, and Grayson; sisters, Frances Carnes and husband, Noel, of Marianna, Ark.., and Elizabeth Ann “Dink” Mitchison, of Forrest City, Ark.; and brother, Gene Hudnall and wife, Sandra, of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Garth Wells; parents, Felix and Louvenia Hudnall; sister, Bessie Lee Adkins; and brothers, Felix “Sonny” Hudnall and Harold Ray Hudnall.
