ATHOL, Idaho – James Robert Carey, 31, also known as JR, of Athol, Idaho, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. He was taken too soon in a tragic fracking accident in South Texas.
Service is 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N. Pioneer Drive, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. English Funeral Chapel of Coeur d’Alene has been entrusted to handle final arrangements.
JR was born Aug. 7, 1982, in Weatherford. The son of late Robert Carey and Brenda Weber, JR was raised in Texas and in North Idaho. He and his wife, Alyssa, were together for 10 years and were married July 25, 2009. They celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary this year. He worked in Texas on the oilfields for the last two years.
JR touched the lives of many with his smile and outgoing personality. He was a hard-working and devoted family man. His desire to love people was something to be admired. JR will be missed wholeheartedly but awaits us in Heaven, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
JR is survived by his wife, Alyssa Carey; two sons, Wyatt David Carey and Dalton Allen Carey; his mother, Brenda Weber and stepfather, Charlie Weber; three sisters, Sherry Neff, Amanda Carey and Tina Carr; 15 nieces and nephews; and his dog, Duke.
JR was preceded in death by his Papa Loyd Bryan; his father, Robert Carey; brother, David Caley; and cousin, Mark Odom.
