Michelle Louise Poteet Ray

FORT WORTH – Michelle Louise Poteet Ray, 45, died Friday, June 21, 2013.

Memorial service is noon Wednesday, June 26, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5001 Altamesa, Fort Worth, TX 76132. Lunch will be provided. She is now home with her Heavenly Father.

Michelle was born at Fort Hood, Texas, on April 9, 1968, to Betty Blackwell Poteet and Barkley "Bo" Owen Poteet. Michelle was a loving and kind big sister to Amy Poteet Nicol and Aaron Owen Poteet.

Michelle's hobbies included fishing, collecting rocks, riding Harleys, singing and listening to music.

Survivors include her beautiful daughter, Brittoney Michelle Ray, of Benbrook; her wonderful, loving parents; her sister and brother; grandmother, Billie Baker, of Granbury; nephew, Matthew Nicholson, of Burleson; niece, Abigail Nicholson, of Burleson; nephew, Martin Nicol V, of Burleson; nephew, Cannon Moore, of Burleson; Uncle John Blackwell, of Mingus; Uncle Jimmy Blackwell, of Granbury; Aunt Kelly Blackwell Wood, of Granbury; and numerous cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.

Preceding her in death were her grandfather, John Walter "Buddy" Blackwell; and grandmother, Gladys Louise Cuthbertson Corbett.
