Alberta Lois King

Our precious mother, Alberta Lois King, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

Her life celebration is 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Brock Community Center, 2115 FM Road 1189, Brock, TX 76087.

The Lord richly blessed her 81 years on this Earth. Our family matriarch’s legacy is manyfold. Two things we’ll remember her for are her loving devotion to her family, and her way of spreading the message of God’s love and His infinite mercy to all who crossed her path. There is no doubt she made her “calling an election sure,” assuring her life more abundantly and everlasting in her eternal home. Although we grieve her passing, we have peace which “passeth all understanding” because our belief is that we’ll be together again. When that great day happens, there will be joy and peace everlasting, there will be no more tears or sorrow, and no more death.

Surviving family members include daughters and son-in-laws, Mary Bynum, Lucinda and Tom Warner and Patricia and Brian Wilson; step-children, Dianna Queen Aaron and Johnny Hockemeyer; grandchildren, Tony Queen and Michael Queen; brothers, Albert Schaefer and Clifford Schaefer; sisters, Peggy King and Juanita Bass; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Three husbands preceded Mom in death: Winston Louis McBurnett, Claud Eugene Hockemeyer and Lonnie Washington King. Also preceding her in death was an infant son, Robert Louis McBurnett; and son-in-law, Bobby Dean Bynum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider donating suitable clothing to fulfill the needs of those who are in the local nursing homes, or, should you wish to make a cash donation for humanitarian or other projects, make your check payable to: Bible Students Aid Foundation and mail it to: Julie Hardesty, Stock Yard Bank & Trust Company, P.O. Box 34290, Louisville, KY 40232-4290.
