WEATHERFORD — Paul Everroad, 92, loving husband, father, Papa, brother and uncle, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014.
Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 306 Palo Pinto, Weatherford, TX 76086.
Paul was born in Hope, Ind., Nov. 30, 1921, to the late Estel and Bessie Everroad. He attended Wabash High School in Wabash, Ind.
Paul was a member of the Elk’s Lodge in Fort Worth. He married Jean Risinger in Weatherford on Dec. 26, 1970.
Paul honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a very proud American. Paul was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his buddy, Larry Shirley, and being outdoors. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and loved the Open Door Sunday school. Paul retired from Gearhart-Owen after many years of service and after retirement, worked for Petro Travel Stop.
Survivors: wife, Jean Risinger Everroad, of Weatherford; daughters, Donna O’Neal and husband, Carl, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Dian Roper and husband, Bill, of Fort Worth; sons, Randy Risinger and wife, Sammye, of Carrollton, Stephen Risinger, of Fort Worth, and David Risinger and wife, Tanna, of Weatherford; grandchildren; Christi Jones and husband, Perry, Tim Roper, Tiffany Cantrell and husband, Kyle, Mike Garretson, Brad Garretson, Terri O’Neal, Amy Austin and husband, Drew, and Robin Risinger Sefzik and husband, Peter; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, D. L. Everroad and wife, Imogene, of Canyon Lake; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
