Evelyn G. Tidwell

 

 

Evelyn G. Tidwell, 88, of Granbury, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in a Fort Worth hospital. 

A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Friday before service. Interment is at 2 p.m. in Tolar Cemetery. 

Mrs. Tidwell was born Oct. 8, 1924 in Tolar, Texas. She was a wonderful, loving mom of three, outliving two of her children; she was retired, attended the Methodist Church and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. 

Mrs. Tidwell is preceded in death by her parents, Irven and Jewell Wood; first husband, Thomas Jefferson Smith; second husband, James Tidwell; daughter, Sandra Pounders; and son, Danny Lynn Crownover.

She is survived by her son, Larry James Crownover and wife Jackie, of Weatherford; sister, Wilma Moore, of Granbury; granddaughters, Jayme Glynn, Ashley Stone, Shannon Pounders, Jessica Eaves and Danielle Green; and great grandchildren, Madey Greene and Dillon Duplant.
