Donald Eugene Huston

Donald Eugene Huston, 85, of Mineral Wells, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in a Fort Worth hospital.

Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kerry Patton officiating. Visitation is 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Galbreaith Pickard is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Darwin and Hazel (Jolif) Huston. Donald retired as the president of United Heat Treating where he worked for many years. He was a member of the Methodist church and a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Donald always lent a listening ear and was a man of many answers.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Bettye Huston, of Mineral Wells; daughter, Janet Sue Avery, of Willow Park; son, Donald E. Huston II, of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Nancy Dennis of Springfield, Mo., and Judy Wellbanks, of Las Vegas; brother, Richard Huston, of Montana; grandsons, Scotty Huston, Danny Huston, Derek Slobodgen and Timothy Avery; six great-grandchildren; five nephews; and three nieces.
