Nannie Burks

Nannie Burks, 90, of Weatherford, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 13, 2013, in a local nursing facility.

Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Born Sept. 11, 1923, in Comanche County, Texas, she was a resident of Weatherford for many years. She was a homemaker, member of the Baptist church and was a retired service station customer service attendant.

Nannie was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Guy Burks; sons, Terry Dan Burks and Jerry Guy Burks; and step-daughter, Bobby Ray.

Survivors include daughters Barbara Riddle and husband, Jay, of Corona, Calif.; Teresa Stults and husband, Ray, of Weatherford; son, Ronald Burks and wife, Linda, of Weatherford; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
