WEATHERFORD — Nancy J. Johnson, 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
Funeral service: 1 p.m. Monday in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Interment: Tin Top Cemetery
Visitation: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Nancy was born Nov. 10, 1934, to Clarence and Grace Tracy, Sr. in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was a hard worker and had many jobs over the years including working at an insurance agency, a jewelry store, waitressing and on the assembly line at factories for Lasko and Behr of America. During her life she lived in many different places including Missouri, Illinois, Canada, Wyoming, Colorado and Florida.
Nancy was married to the love of her life, R. D. Johnson, for 22 years. They spent many years traveling the world together on cruise ships and abroad.
She was mother to four sons, George Wallace, Scott Donnell, Jeff Donnell and Patrick Donnell, and was proud of them and their accomplishments. Nancy was also a very loving grandmother and great-grandmother, always involved in all of their lives. With all of Nancy’s talents, hobbies and life experiences, she could be epitomized in one word: family.
Survivors: husband, R. D. Johnson; sons, George Wallace and wife, Sherrill, Scott Donnell, Jeff Donnell and Patrick Donnell; brothers and sisters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
