Margaret Whatley Riley

Margaret Whatley Riley left this life, her earthly home, and entered into the eternal home on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, in Weatherford, where she had lived several years. Memorial service will be held on Nov. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Central Christian Church in Weatherford, with Pastor Danny Couch officiating.

Margaret was born Aug. 20, 1926. in Mineral Wells, to C.V. and Alma Whatley. They preceded her in death as did her two older siblings, Mary Ruth Dickson and Marie Thomas. Also preceding her in death was her first husband of 50 years, Harry Riley, in 2000. In January 2006, Margaret’s beloved daughter, Pamela Riley Lee, departed this life also to be with her Heavenly Father. In 2003, she joined her life with her high school sweetheart, loving companion and best friend, Roy Bostick. Roy died in March 15, 2009.

Margaret was employed 24 years at the City National Bank in Mineral Wells as assistant vice president.

She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter, Sherron Riley, of Decatur; granddaughters, Pam Miller, of Decatur, Janis (J.B.) Lindbloom, of Weatherford, and Jordan Lee, of Dallas, Texas; great granddaughters, Meghan and Lexi; great grandson, Scott; loving nieces and nephews; dearest friend Joy Nichols and many loving and loyal friends.

Margaret’s wish was to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Department L DA, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN, 38105-9959, or charity of choice.
