Francis Elbert Nichols, 72, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Center Point Baptist Church with Rev. Van Houser officiating. Interment will follow in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation is 6-7 p.m. Friday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Francis was born March 16, 1941, to Louis and Theople Nichols in Parker County. He married Donice Carter in 1959. He served in law enforcement for seven years and then became self-employed in the construction business for 30 years. He was a long standing member of the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse and a member of Center Point Baptist Church.
He is survived by Donice Nichols; his children, Bob and Alma Nichols, Len Nichols and Beverly and Chris Johnson; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and his aunt, Pearl Stevens.
Francis is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Stevens; and daughter-in-law, Connie Nichols.
