— Connie Pamplin Hatfield, 62, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
A memorial service will take place after the holidays.
She was born in El Paso, Texas, in 1951 to Travis and Patsy Pamplin. She attended Weatherford schools. Among the places she worked were Jamak, Jack’s Truck Stop and Petro. She worked in several sewing factories and at a Walmart warehouse, all outside of Weatherford. She was most notably a care-giver to her husband, his father and both of her parents, was a CPS caring for a newborn through her first year and several others during their last years.
According to her granddaughter, Alicia, Connie was described as a caring, nurturing and lovely lady. She further said her grandmother was very talkative and very happy with a lot of sweet, funny stories.
She is survived by her beloved children, a daughter, Jill Lack Goen and husband, Matt; and son, Eric Lack and Marshel McCay, all of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Erica Lack Morris and Jacob, Troy Lack, Stephen Lack and Alicia Goen; one great-grandson, Kaycen Morris; brother, Travis Lloyd Pamplin and wife, Laura; and aunts, uncles, nieces and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by both parents; a son, William Steven; and husband, Joe.
Her final act of kindness was to donate her body to science at UT-Southwestern Medical Center.
