MINERAL WELLS — Vaughn Raymond Killian, 82, went to Heaven Nov. 1, 2013, in Weatherford.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at White’s Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
Vaughn was born in Hedley, TX on Feb. 18, 1931. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953 as a sergeant, and after his honorable discharge, Vaughn served his country by working for Lubbock Veterans Commission and as a deputy for the Morton Sheriff’s department. His life’s mission was to serve military veterans, touching the lives of many. He is cherished for all his work. He is survived by his beloved life partner, Carolyn Raney, of Mineral Wells; children, Cheryl Boyd, of Athens, and Brad Killian, of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His death follows the passing of his brothers, Howard and Robert Killian.
