Linda Marlene Lovett

Linda Marlene Lovett, 64, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at a local hospital.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at East Greenwood Cemetery, at the corner of Front and Rusk streets in Weatherford. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Linda Marlene Smith was born Aug. 30, 1948, to the late Lyle and Jean Smith in Warren, Ohio. She met Claude Lovett and they married in 1978 in Newton Falls, Ohio. Linda attended Sharon Nursing Academy in Pennsylvania and Youngstown University in Cleveland, Ohio. She became a registered nurse and worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio, and John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Linda was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ohio.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Lovett, of Weatherford; stepson, Chad Lovett and wife, Shannon, of Rome, Ga.; daughter, Jennifer Lovett, of Benbrook; grandchildren, Nathan and Ganen; sister, Debbie Helms, of Fresno, Calif.; brothers, Denny Smith, of Florida, and Ronny Smith, of Akron, Ohio; father-in-law, Claude Lovett, of Weatherford; and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Linda’s memory to the American Heart Association, 2630 W. Freeway, Ste. 250, Fort Worth, TX 76102, 817-698-5400.
