— HUDSON OAKS – Gerald Exman, 75, died peacefully at his home in Hudson Oaks on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.

Service is 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Gerald, a retired master sergeant in the United States Air Force, was born June 27, 1938, in Fayette, Iowa. He married Diane Exman on June 14, 1997. He recently retired as general manager of Durham Transportation for Weatherford ISD. He served as president of the New Progress Water Board, attended church at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Weatherford and was well known for his woodworking, carpentry and gardening abilities, as well as his work with special needs children.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Diane; his sister; and his numerous children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mabel Exman; one brother; four sisters; and two grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation, which supports students including those with special needs.
