Theron Rea Plowman, age 70, of Fort Worth, died early Friday morning, Dec. 7, 2012 in a Fort Worth hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. Born Jan. 7, 1942, in Weatherford, Rea was a retired U.S. Army Military Police Officer with the rank of Captain. He also was a computer programmer and he loved driving his Ford Mustang, working in his yard and gardening. He was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Plowman; parents, Leon and Mary Plowman; and a brother, J. V. Plowman.
Survivors: wife, Doris Plowman, of Fort Worth; daughters, Sandy Brunton and husband, Dan of Wichita, Kans., and Dr. Sherry Edwards and husband, Donnie Slanker, of Fort Worth; two grandchildren, Amanda Paul, a registered nurse, serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, and Erica Walker and husband, Justin of Midland; one great grandchild, Kennedy Michelle Walker; sister, Joyce Collup of Fort Worth; brothers, Donald Plowman and wife, Betty of Biloxi, Miss., Charles Plowman and wife, Sue of Poteau, Okla.; longtime friend, Marivel Reyes; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 in the Annetta Cemetery.
