Mary Ellen Wood

Mary Ellen Wood, 77, died Dec. 14, 2012, at HEB Hospital, in Bedford, following a short illness.

Graveside service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Bluebonnet Cemetery, in Colleyville. Visitation is 11 a.m.

She was born in Saltillo, Miss., on Feb. 9, 1935. She has now closed her eyes and then opened them, looking at the Lord’s face. She will very much be missed by all who knew her and the lives she touched.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Murray, of Bedford, Barbara VanHuss, of Paradise, and Janet Facemyer, of Weatherford; four sisters, Lorine, Hulen, Doris and Edith, of Hernado, Miss.; one brother, Lonnie Ray, of Chicago; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, her first great-great-grandchild due Jan. 28; son-in-laws, Rich, Rick and Terry; and a long list of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

She was preceded by her parents, Frank and Dora Ray; three brothers, Fredie, Denton and Murial; and her husband of 45 years, Gerald Wood.
