Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Phelan

Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Phelan, 65, of Willow Park, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. 

Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Beth was born May 27, 1948, to the late Francys and Eldon Frazier. Beth retired from the City of Weatherford after 20 years of service as deputy finance director. More recently she served as the deputy director for the U.S. Attorney, retiring Nov. 15, 2013. Beth was a member of North Side Baptist Church. Her hobbies included antiques and house restoration.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Scott Phelan and wife, Mandy, of Liberty Hill, and Kevin Phelan and wife, Laura, of Houston; brother, Phillip Frazier and wife, Lynn, of Willow Park; two grandchildren, Cooper and Peyton; nieces and nephew, Karen Cowell, Heather Wilhelm and Heath Frazier; and her best friend, Larry Phelan, of Weatherford.

The family would like to thank Dr. Page and associates at the Cancer Center and Community Hospice of Texas at the James L. West Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Texas, 1111 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76102.
