Eva Gelene Hancock

Eva Gelene Hancock, 72, died peacefully on Nov. 3, 2013, in Houston.

Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Northside Baptist Church. Interment will follow at noon at East Greenwood Cemetery.

Eva Gelene Moon was born Oct. 2, 1941, and was raised in Weatherford. She attended Weatherford High School, graduating with the Class of 1959. Gelene worked for both the Weatherford and Granbury housing authorities for many years until she retired to Conroe.

She is survived by her daughter, Kellye Hancock, of Austin, and her son, Kevin and his wife, Kristin, Hancock of Katy; three grandchildren, Mindy, Tana and Kara Hancock; and brother, Gerald Moon and his wife, Ivanell, of Weatherford.

Gelene is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Jewel Moon.
