Trinity Bible Church tackles the most difficult ‘God’ questions in sermon.

WILLOW PARK — Trinity Bible Church Senior Pastor Jon Sherman is conducting a sermon series that speaks to the heart of every individual including those who have attended church all their lives as well as those who never step foot in one.

“The God Questions” will tackle the most difficult and universal questions about God and explain how to rest easy with the answers.

The seven-week series, which started Sept. 20, covers such questions as “Is God for real?” and “Is the Bible really true?”

“It seems most everybody carries around these questions in their minds at some point,” Sherman said. “Everybody has questions; God has answers. His Word may not directly answer every question we have, but it definitely addresses all the most important issues in life. God has impressed upon me the need for this series several times over the course of the past year as I’ve watched the whole idea of ‘truth and reality’ deteriorate into a compost pile of relativism.”

A large-scale study conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life last year found that although 92 percent of Americans believe in God or a “higher power,” 22 percent were “less certain” about their beliefs. The study also stated 70 percent of those affiliated with a religion believe many religions can lead to eternal salvation. This sermon series is intended to lay to rest those uncertainties — and more.

Sherman will explore the Bible for passages which, when taken in context and applied to today’s culture, will help listeners understand what God has to say about the following questions:

n “Is the Bible really true?” (Sept. 27)

n “How can God be three-in-one?” (Oct. 4)

n “What happens after we die?” (Oct. 11)

n “Do all roads lead to heaven?” (Oct. 18)

n “Can I know for sure that I’ll go to heaven?” (Oct. 25)

n “How can a good God let bad things happen?” (Nov. 1)
