Peaster's Ethan murphy heads All-APC team

Peaster's Ethan Murphy heads this year's All-Parker County baseball team as the area's Most Valuable Player. Murphy was a stronghold for the Greyhounds, becoming a threat from the mound as well as at the plate, and helping lead his team to a postseason berth in the playoffs.

Murphy signed a letter-of-intent to play baseball at Weatherford College in the fall.

Weatherford's Josh Easley was named Pitcher of the Year for his efforts, helping lead the Roos to the playoffs.

He will play for the University of Arkansas.

Easley's teammate, Josh Ellington, was named Defensive Player of the Year. Not afraid to fill in at pitcher, Ellington spent most of his time behind the plate, a force to be reckoned with against opposing baserunners.

Brock head baseball coach Chad Massey, along with catcher Zack Patino round out the superlatives. The Eagles went the deepest of any other team in the area, with Massey being named Coach of the Year for his efforts, and Patino as the Offensive Player of the Year.
