Aledo 61 Mineral Wells 7

The Bearcats were clicking on both sides of the ball Friday as they over-powered Mineral Wells in a 6-4A match at Rams Stadium. Aledo's ground game racked up nearly 400 yards, with freshman Johnathan Gray heading the way with 110 yards on just eight carries. The Bearcats stay perfect for the season, setting up a district-title showdown with Birdville, who barely kept its district record unblemished with a 35-34 win over Brewer.



Millsap 26 Chico 12

The Bulldogs got back in the win column for the first time since District 9-2A play began, with a 26-12 win over Chico, Friday. The home-finale victory improves Millsap’s overall record to 5-4 on the season, though the Bulldogs do not have a shot at postseason play. Millsap travels to Boyd this week to play it’s season finale.
