(September through November)

> Sophomore running back Jeuqwan Brownlee scored both Roos touchdowns while rushing for 200 yards in a 14-6 win over North Crowley as Weatherford recorded its lone win of the 2013 season. 

> Parker County prep volleyball teams fared well in the 2013 season, with five teams advancing to postseason. Class 4A Aledo, 3A Springtown and 1A Poolville reached the playoffs, as did Brock and Peaster, representatives from Class 2A.

> After a 91-0 drubbing by the Aledo Bearcats in a District 7-4A football match, a Western Hills parent filed a bullying complaint on the Aledo ISD website. Though the matter was investigated and ultimately rendered invalid, the incident received local, state and national media attention. 

> The Trinity Christian Academy boys’ cross country team won the TCAF state title. Brett Person brought home the individual gold for the boys while Cori Ford took first in the girls’ division.

> Celebrating its 10th anniversary since being established, the Weatherford High School Athletic Hall of Fame inducted the 2013 Class, including the  1982-83 Roos basketball team, coached by Harold Scott. The team was the first to win a district championship after Weatherford entered the 5A UIL classification.
