Editor’s Note: This is the final installment of a five-part pictorial series, taking a look back at notable news and events of 2013 for Parker County sports.

(October through December)

> Nasty early December weather put a hold (and/or outright cancellations) on area athletic schedules, including football playoffs. Up to six inches of icefall and days of below freezing temperatures left area teams scrambling for venues.

>  The University Interscholastic League revamped the class designations for Texas schools, creating a 6A level after moving six-man football into Class 1A and moving everyone else up a spot. There were no real surprises for area schools when the new enrollment boundaries were released in December.
