After the girls contest, the Brock boys (2-0), who also have new leadership in head coach Zach Boxell, will take on the Greyhounds who, like Brock, has enjoyed tournament success in preparing for the district rigors. Peaster bounced Boyd in its district opener on New Year’s Eve, 66-33.
Millsap’s Lady Bulldogs, headed up by coach Ron Berry, hopes to even up its 1-2 district record, as well, as the MHS girls travel to Alvord for a 1 p.m. match.

Springtown’s girls open district in a home match against always-tough Kennedale ay 8 p.m. The SHS boys travel for their final pre-district meeting, playing at Sanger in an afternoon tilt. The Porcupines will open District 6-3A play next week, hosting Lake Worth.
The Poolville girls open their 2014 district campaign with a trip to Chico, while the varsity boys travel to play Lindsay. After hosting its final non-district contest against Muenster, the Monarchs will host Ranger on Jan. 10 to begin its march to return to postseason.
