> Both Weatherford College basketball teams earned spots in the Region V Tourney and placed several players on the All-Conference teams

> The UIL realignment shook up the districts for virtually everyone, except Weatherford, who had no changes other than their district designation... from 4A-5 to 3A-5.

> WISD held a ceremony to retire the Weatherford jersey No. 12, in honor of former student-athlete Zach Britton, who is the first Weatherford grad to pitch in the major leagues.

>WISD Exec Athletic Director Philip O’Neal left the district for a position at Fort Bend ISD.
