Tison girls look strong going into district meet

The Tison seventh-grade girls track team dominated the competition to win first place overall, at the recent running of the Quad County West Zone Track Meet. 


The girls racked up 155.5 points as a team, while qualified many athletes for the Quad County District Meet, to be held April 8-9 at Kangaroo Stadium. 

The Tison relay teams qualified for the 4x100-meter, 4x200-meter and the 4x400-meter races. The girls will also enter individual participants in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 800-meter run, 400-meter dash and 300-meter hurdles. 

In the field events Tyson will have entries in shot put, discus, pole vault, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
