Brock to host first varsity football game

BROCK —

The Brock Eagles Junior Varsity Blue football team made its initial foray into varsity-level ball last month, traveling to play Dallas Lakehill Prep. And a successful trip it was, as  Brock brushed aside the Warriors, 43-0.

Friday, the Eagles will host their first varsity match as they entertain Dallas A+ Academy at Eagles Field, located aside the junior high school in Brock.

In just its second year of school-sponsored football, Brock’s program, and the participation level of its students has mushroomed, as they suit up two junior varsity teams, a seventh grade team and an eight-grade team. The JV teams, who occasionally consolidate to play other schools with one junior varsity squad, are comprised of freshmen, sophomores and juniors.

Friday’s home varsity game is set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
