Aledo Ladycats head soccer coach Bryan Johnson has a habit of going above and beyond to help his students, both in academics and athletics. With his Ladycat Soccer teams in mind, Johnson applied for, and won, a specialized clinic sponsored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Soccer.com.

The resulting clinic was held this week at Bearcat Stadium and included two coaches from UK Elite, both from England, who worked with the girls on their soccer skills.

UK Elite is sponsored by Soccer.com, and is a professional soccer training company based in New Hampshire with offices, summer camps and various programs in several states, including Texas.

The focus of the clinic was having the lady athletes work on finishing and making a final pass in the final third to the striker. Both UK Elite coaches were impressed at how well the girls caught on to drills and their skill levels.

Johnson added that the girls seemed to get a lot out of the session, and he would like to see the AHS program link up again with the company for more training.
