Summer athletic camps

Staff Report

With the third week in July comes the home stretch for the athletic camps. There’s not much going on this week, apart from the strength and conditioning workouts offered at virtually every area school, but the camps crank back up again for the waning final week of July and into the month of August.

Volleyball Camp

Eligible Campers: Grades 4-8 (Fall 2013)

When: July 30 - Aug. 1 (Tuesday-Thursday)

Time(s): 9 a.m. — Noon

Location: WHS Ninth Grade Center Gymnasium

Cost: $60 (if registered by June 25) $75 thereafter

Eligible Campers: Grades 9-12 (Fall 2013): 

When: July 30 - Aug. 1 (Tuesday-Thursday)

Time(s): 2 p.m. — 5 p.m.

Location: WHS Ninth Grade Center Gymnasium

Cost: $80 (if registered by June 25) $95 thereafter

(Setters/Hitters 1-day Camp)

Eligible Campers: Grades 5-12 (Fall 2013)

When: July 29 (Monday), 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: WHS Ninth Grade Center Gymnasium

Cost: $40 if registered by June 25; $55 thereafter

Archery Camp

Eligible Campers: Ages 9-years-old and up

When: Aug. 5—9 (Mon. though Fri.)

Time(s): 9 a.m. — 11 a.m.

Location: BLC/David’s Outdoors

Cost: $70 (Registration deadline is July 9)

Kangaroo Football Camps

Eligible Campers: Grades 3 — 8 (Fall 2013)

When: Aug. 6—8 (Tues. though Thurs.)

Time(s)/Cost: Grades 3—6: 8 a.m. — 9:30 a.m./$65

                      Grades 7—8: 4:30 p.m. — 6:30 p.m./$75

                          (Registration deadline is July 31)

Location: Weatherford High School - The Outback

              Noon - 2 p.m. (3rd - 6th grades)

Where: Don Daniel Ninth-grade Center

Cost: $80 (if registered by July 19th)
