ZEBULON, N.C. – Former Weatherford College baseball player Bryson Myles hit a walk-off three-run home run in the 14th inning last week to lead the Carolina Mudcats to a 4-3 win over the Winston-Salem Dash.

The game was the Mudcats’ longest home game (in innings) in more than three years.

The Mudcats are a High-A minor league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians based in Zebulon, N.C., which is located east of Raleigh.

Myles has hit seven home runs and has tallied 36 runs batted in through 53 games for Carolina this season. The left fielder is averaging .267 at the plate and has a .335 on-base percentage.

The Grand Prairie native was a two-time All-Conference selection at WC in 2009 and 2010, setting a school record for stolen bases with 53 as a sophomore.

Myles went on to Stephen F. Austin State University after his WC tenure, where he was named Southland Conference Player of the Year in 2011.
