Baseball fundamentals, for ages 6 — 12

When: July 10 — 12 (Tues. — Thurs.)

Times: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Summer Tennis Classes

Eligible students: For ages 6 — 14

When: Tuesdays — July 10-31 & Aug. 7-28

Times: 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Where: 9th Grade Center Courts

Cost: $45/month

Roo Athletic Training & Conditioning

When: June 11 — July 26 (no camp July 2-5)

Times: Grades 9-12 - 6:45-7:45 a.m. or 8-9 a.m.

            Grades 7-8 – 9:15-10:15 a.m.

Where: WHS Outback

Cost: $80

Roo Basketball Camp for Boys and Girls

Eligible Campers: For grades 1st — 6th:

When: June 18 — 22 (Mon. — Fri.)

1st—4th grades: 8 a.m. til Noon

5th—6th grades: 1 p.m. til 5 p.m.

Cost: $65/camper ($55 for each same-family sibling)

Eligible Campers: For grades 7th — 9th:

When: June 25th — 29th

7th—9th: 9 a.m. til 4 p.m.

Cost: $75/camper ($65 for each same-family sibling)

$10 discount also applies if one child in June 18 camp and another in June 25 camp

Where: Weatherford High School gymnasiums

Eligible Campers: For grades entering 2nd — 8th

When: June 25-28

Times: Grades 2-5 - 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Grades 6-8 – 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Cost: $40

    Apparently being lauded for, among other coaching triumphs during the prep baseball season, Class 4A mentors Chad Barry (Aledo) and  Wes Kolle (Victoria East) shared the honors of Coach of the Year as selected by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA)in an announcement released on Wednesday.

    “I just love the running,” Tharp said.
