NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — The Northwestern State women’s basketball program has added a new assistant, Kasondra Foreman, to its coaching staff.
Co-head coaches Brooke and Scott Stoehr said Tuesday that Foreman’s hiring is still subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors of the University of Louisiana System.
Foreman played basketball at North Texas from 2010 to 2012 and won newcomer of the year her first seasons.
While at North Texas, Foreman was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and helped run summer camps for future collegiate athletes.
The point guard also played at Weatherford College, where she was named to the Dean’s List in 2009-10 and was a North Texas Junior College Athletic Association All-Conference player.
Brooke Stoehr says Foreman displayed tenacity on the court, has a lively personality and an ability to relate to anyone. Those qualities, she says, will benefit Northwestern State’s program on the recruiting trail.
