Coyotes honored on All-Conference team

The Weatherford College baseball team has landed three players on the 2014 All-North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference team.  Trooper Reynolds earned first team All-Conference honors while Tejay Antone and Scotland Church were named to the second team.

Reynolds, a Weatherford High School graduate, hit .361 with 10 doubles, nine home runs and 54 RBIs this season. After two successful years at WC, he will continue his baseball career at Dallas Baptist University.

Antone, a Mansfield Legacy product, had a school-record 99 strikeouts this season in 84 innings pitched and a 2.88 ERA. After transferring from TCU to WC for his sophomore season, he is moving on to play at Auburn next year.

Church hit .405 with 20 doubles and 45 RBI in his freshman season for the Coyotes. The catcher from Lubbock Cooper will return to WC for his sophomore year.

WC finished the season with a 31-24 overall record in 2014, the program’s seventh straight winning season.
