Staff Report

Brock and Peaster met again at Weatherford College on Thursday — and no, not the baseball teams. This Parker County schools’ contest was of the softball variety, but it was still Greyhounds vs. the Eagles.

Brock and Peaster baseball have been playing their second-round district game at Roger Williams Ballpark for several years, and doing a  decent job of filling the stands with each encounter.

With Weatherford College in its second year of softball, another Brock-Peaster match will likely be featured on an on-going basis.

Brock struck early in the contest and went on to win the meeting. The Lady Eagles face Ponder on Monday, with payback on their minds. The Lady Lions handed Brock its only district loss and will look to bounce back in their return meeting. Peaster will travel to play Boyd on Monday. Both contests are scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
