With Pojo ahead by 10 at the break, the Wildcats offense rebounded with a vengeance in the second half, outpacing the Porcupines with a third and fourth quarter run of 51-23.
Springtown’s Dylan Ray and Caleb Brown provided most of the first-half output for the Porcupines, finishing the night as Pojo’s top scorers, with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
Despite the loss, Springtown has clinched a playoff spot and concludes its district schedule Tuesday.
Tech edges Aledo
With visions of claiming the District 7-4A fourth seed all by themselves, the Aledo Bearcats put together a good performance against district-leading Trimble Tech on Friday, even without the services of its top scorer.
Luke Bishop and Kyle Groman paced the Aledo offense scoring 10 points each, with Carl Williams adding eight.
With playoffs hopes still alive, Aledo brings its regular season to a close on Tuesday, hosting Fort Worth’s South Hills on Senior Night, Tuesday.
