Last-minute score gives Brock win at Baugh Classic

— With less than a minute left in the contest, Leddy French capped a 70-yard winning drive by the Eagles as Brock beat Booker, 28-22, at The Sammy Baugh Classic in Sweetwater Saturday night.

Trailing by eight with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter, Booker scored on a TD pass, then tied the contest with a successful 2-point conversion.

Brock took over at its own 30 and drove downfield, chewing up the game clock in the process.

Brock began the scoring in the second quarter on a 50-yard run by Slaten Gough, and pulled ahead before the half in the back-and-forth match when Gough found Titus Gossett in the end zone from the 5-yard line. A 2-point conversion run by Tyler Skelton put the Eagle up by 15-8 going into the halftime locker room.
