Aledo tennis takes seventh title in as many years

Aledo’s District 7-4A team tennis season concluded on Tuesday, with the Bearcats defeating Granbury’s netters with a 15-9 match count. The win clinched an undefeated district season, and marks the seventh year in a row Aledo has taken the district championship.

Head coach Karl Richter will try to keep the Aledo players tuned up for the next couple of weeks, as the Bearcats will be idle until they compete in the Region I Tournament, to be played on Oct. 26-27 in Wichita Falls.

Springtown sweeps Lady Eagles

Staff Report

The Springtown varsity volleyball team improved to 6-0 in District 6-3A play on Tuesday, beating Diamond Hill in three, 25-4, 25-7, 25-7.

The Lady Porcupines (24-2 overall) travel to play at Kennedale on Friday.

 

Ladycats top Granbury 

Staff Report

Mallory Powell dished up 27 assists as Aledo volleyball swept past Granbury on Tuesday, 25-11, 25-11, 25-13. At 10-0 in District 7-4A play and two wins away from clinching another title, Aledo hosts O.D. Wyatt on Friday.
