Eagles join postseason fun on Friday

— Staff Report

The wait for postseason action is nearly over for the Brock Eagles, who will jump into the Class 2A, Region II state playoff fray on Friday. The District 9-2A champions get set to enter the Area round  on Friday, matching up in a best-of-three series against the Gunter Tigers.

Gunter, the District 12 runner-up, eliminated Howe a week ago in a one-and-done contest, winning 2-0.

Brock has been awaiting postseason play while sitting out the bi-district round, but has certainly not been idle since finishing its district slate against Ponder last month. The Eagles played Mansfield Legacy to a tie and slammed Muenster, both last week.

Brock will face Gunter at Saginaw Chisholm Trail High School in the series, with the first game slated for Friday, at 7:30 p.m. Game 2 will be played at the same location and is scheduled for Saturday, May 11th at 2 p.m.  If needed, Game 3 will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 2.
