Community Ed looks to summer, fall leagues

— The Weatherford ISD Community Ed volleyball program for girls ended the spring league with a tournament on Saturday. Community Ed had record numbers in their spring league and hope to continue growing this fall when the league resumes. Girls from surrounding towns are welcome to participate in this preparatory (not select) league.

Community Ed will offer a volleyball camp this summer which will be led by WISD Middle School and High School Coaches and former students. The camp will take place at the high school July 15-18. Registration deadline is July 9 and the cost of the camp is $50 for girls in grades 2-8. 

Second through sixth graders will attend from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and those in grades 7-8 are invited to attend 1:00-3:00. Registrations may be made through the Community Ed Office located at 900 N. Elm Street, or by calling 817-598-2806.
